We’re looking for a sharp, customer-obsessed Presales Engineer who can own the technical front-end of enterprise cybersecurity deals. You’ll work closely with sales, product, and engineering teams to position and demonstrate solutions across API Security, Automated Incident Management Platforms, Cyber Range environments, Crisis Simulation tools and other cyber security tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Presales & Solution Consulting
  • Understand customer requirements across AppSec, SOC, CERT, DevSecOps, and Cyber-Resilience programs.
  • Map customer pain points to product capabilities for API security, Incident Response Automation, Cyber Range, and Crisis Simulation platforms.
  • Craft technical value propositions, solution architectures, and deployment models.
  • Run RFIs/RFPs, technical questionnaires, and compliance mappings.

2. Product Demonstrations & Workshops

  • Deliver high-impact demos tailored to customer use cases (e.g., API discovery, threat detection, IR workflows, purple teaming, cyber-range exercises).
  • Conduct PoCs/PoVs with clear success criteria and guide customers through hands-on validation.
  • Facilitate tabletop exercises and cyber-range demonstrations for security teams.

3. Technical Architecture & Integration Support

  • Design end-to-end architectures including integrations with SIEM, SOAR, API gateways, WAFs, IAM, ticketing systems & cloud services.
  • Assist customers in deployment planning (on-prem, cloud, hybrid).
  • Recommend best practices for API security posture, IR automation maturity, and training program structure.

4. Bid Support & Documentation

  • Create solution documents, architecture diagrams, BoMs, SOWs, and effort estimates.
  • Support pricing discussions with appropriate technical justifications.

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work with Product teams to share customer feedback, new feature asks, market trends.
  • Partner with Marketing to create technical collateral, webinars, and campaigns.
  • Support channel partners with enablement, demo training, and technical workshops.

6. Thought Leadership

  • Stay updated on emerging threats, API vulnerabilities, MITRE ATT&CK, Purple Teaming, SOC modernization, and CERT best practices.
  • Represent the company at events, conferences, and customer roundtables.

Required Skills & Experience:

Core Technical Skills

  • Strong understanding of API Security (e.g., discovery, OWASP API Top 10, runtime protection, anomaly detection).
  • Experience with SOC/IR tools: SIEM, SOAR, case management, threat intel workflows.
  • Exposure to Cyber Range, adversary simulation, crisis or incident exercises.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP) and API gateways (Kong, Apigee, WSO2, AWS API Gateway).
  • Basic scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell) preferred.

Presales Skills

  • Excellent demo skills with the ability to “tell a story” using technical flows.
  • Strong RFP writing and response skills.
  • Ability to translate complex concepts into customer-friendly language.
  • Experience running PoCs independently.

Soft Skills

  • Clear communication and presentation style.
  • Comfort interacting with CISOs, architects, and hands-on security engineers.
  • Ability to handle pressure in competitive sales cycles.
  • Customer-first mindset with strong ownership.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Cyber Security, or related field.
  • Industry certifications such as CEH, OSCP, GIAC, CISSP, CCSK, or relevant product certifications.
  • Experience with government/defense, BFSI, or large enterprise environments is a plus.
