Position Overview:
Rapifuzz is seeking an experienced and dynamic Vice President of Engineering to lead our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have 14-16 years of experience in both back-end and front-end technologies, with a minimum of 4 years in a leadership role. The VP of Engineering will be responsible for driving the technical vision, strategy, and execution of our product development to maintain our competitive edge in the cybersecurity industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Code review
- POC concepts
- Hands on in development
- Software architecture
- Technical documentation – including but not limited to Swagger, BRD reviews
- Managing team and projects – task allocation and sprint planning
- JIRA
- Lead and mentor a diverse team of engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Develop and execute the engineering strategy in alignment with the company's goals and objectives.
- Oversee the design, development, and deployment of robust, scalable, and secure software solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Management, Sales, and Marketing, to deliver high-quality products that meet market needs.
- Drive best practices in software development, including code reviews, testing, and documentation.
- Ensure the timely delivery of projects while maintaining high standards of quality and performance.
- Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to keep Rapifuzz at the forefront of cybersecurity innovation.
- Manage engineering budgets, resources, and timelines effectively.
- Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external, to drive the success of our engineering initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 14-16 years of experience in software engineering, with a strong focus on both back-end and front-end technologies.
- At least 5 years of experience in above mentioned technologies. Minimum team size 6 plus. And minimum 5 years of experience in leadership.
- Python plus Django rest framework, Java plus Springboot and frontend in Java and React JS.
- Candidates having experience in both technologies will be given preference.
- Creating plug ins.
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality software products on time and within budget.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the cybersecurity industry.
- Knowledge of cloud computing platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
